What is a Sleep Apnea?

Sleep Apnea is a common condition which occurs when a person’s airway becomes partially or completely blocked many times during sleep. Around 5% of men and 3% of women have Sleep Apnea that is severe enough to have negative effects on their health, causing sleepiness, high blood pressure and increased risk of cardiac disease and diabetes.
